The 2015 White Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Deborah Rice, and presented to Debbie at District Assembly in Chandler, AZ last April.
Deborah received her Masters of Divinity from Claremont School for Theology in Spring of 2015 and received the 2015 Church of the Good Shepherd Preaching Award. In addition to her education at CST, Debbie earned a certificate in UU studies at Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley. Since she has graduated, Debbie has become director of religious exploration (DRE) at the UU Church of Studio City, after serving as Intern Minister for two years at another of our PSWD congregations, the UU Church of Verdugo Hills. She cares deeply about social justice and has been active in the Black Lives matter movement.
