PSWD Staff

District ExecutiveRev. Dr. Ken Brown 

The District Executive is a full-time field staff professional, responsible to both the PSWD Board of Trustees and to the UUA.

He is available for consultation with individual congregations at the request of their board presidents and/or ministers, regarding such areas as growth, long-range planning, conflict, group process, leadership skills, and related issues, conducting workshops and doing assessments of congregational health.

He serves as a resource by providing information to the PSWD Board of Trustees; district committees, affiliates, and congregations; and the Ministers’ Association (UUMA).

Communications among congregations, the district, and the UUA are facilitated by the District Executive.

The District Executive is available as a speaker or facilitator for church services, ministers’ installations, community religious ceremonies, as well as district assemblies, skills conferences, committee retreats, and other gatherings.

Ken holds a doctorate from Claremont School of Theology. He and Tommie O'Sullivan have been married for 39 years. Their daughter Sara, grandson Luke and granddaughter Quinn are members at our Santa Clarita congregation. Ken is in his 34th year as a UU minister.

Director of Lifespan Programs Tera Little

The Director of Lifespan Programs is a full-time UUA District Staff professional responsible to the PSWD Board of Trustees and the UUA. The D.L.P. is part of the PSWD Executive Team and is available to consult congregational lay leaders and religious professionals on various aspects of lifespan faith development. The D.L.P. coordinates the six PSWD youth camps held at Camp de Benneville Pines throughout the year.

Tera currently serves on the UUA Task Force on Ministry to and with Youth. She is working on an M.Div. degree through the Meadville Lombard Theological School modified residency program and will seek ordination as a UU minister.

Tera is the proud mom of Adrian, age 12, and they are members of Neighborhood Church in Pasadena. She is an active member of the local interfaith economic justice organizing community and is the co-founder of the Arroyo Seco Greens.


AdministratorMary Nelson

The District Administrator is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operation of the District Office, and functions as support for the Field Staff, the PSWD Board, and District Committees.

Mary is a member of the UU Church of Ventura and serves on the UULM-CA Global Warming/Water Justice Organizing Team, as well as on the Chalice Lighters Committee for the PSWD.
